Rushmore (1998)

Line after great line, with seriously wonderful buoyant energy. It's no wonder Rushmore has taken the seat that it has over the years - that said, can I criticize it for being too Andersonian? I felt like it could have benefited from fewer musical montages.

  2. MildredFierce That's just it! Only two of them were crucial. Let me put that as a compliment instead. Dialogue was the strongest gear in the film, and I would've liked more of it.

  3. ross Didn't bother me too much, but I'd trade in a musical montage for another Max Fischer play any day.
