Rubber (2010)

An homage to "No reason". Also the answer to why this film has a cult audience. How do you make a movie about a tire that spontaneously develops sentience and a bloodthirst? You don't...you make "art" and you make a point. Would have made an interesting short, but not a feature.

  1. wintermayer The turkey scene, for example, felt so unbelievably forced as an analogy. Just a painful slog of a watch. To be enjoyed by those who think reading textbooks is fun as this is nothing more than a film school students wet dream. This is both the most meta film ever and also the smartest dumb film ever.

  3. wintermayer That's a damn tragedy. The more minutes pass the more I think giving it a 30 was too generous. It's not the worst movie I've ever seen but I may hate it more than any movie I've ever seen. It's only real merits were in it's intention, however it's execution was piss poor in my opinion.
