The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

Does my genre loving heart some good. There hasn't been this high quality a fantasy film since the last LOTR. Lower worldly stakes are successfully replaced by higher personal ones. The fantastic work of WETA is on full display. Sorry Burnreel haters...loved it.
