Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

Well, Hollywood has done it again. They've engineered another slick product completely devoid of any real, human emotion. Instead, they've shovelled it so full of saccharine, kindergarten sentimentality that even supposedly jaded critics are fooled.

Nougat_Jesus It's not interesting to see how audiences are fooled by easily digested packages of commercial syrup; most people lack critical thinking and have never experienced emotions more complicated than road rage and SUV color choice. However, it's always a funny game to see exactly how Hollywood constructs films that are intended to manipulate critics and Hollywood itself. It is part science, part art; only true masters succeed.
