Nougat_JesusThis film not only includes the animated short (that is brilliantly funny yet charming in its own right) but a satirical tour of Uncle Walt's studios in its heyday.
Unfortunately, too many namby-pamby ass-wipes at Disney feel that some of their original classics like this and "Song of the South" are not worth releasing. "The Reluctant Dragon" can, but only as the 30 minute short (still better than 95% of what is on Cartoon Network and Disney Channel combined).
Fuck'em. fuck'em all.

Nougat_JesusThe movie "The Reluctant Dragon." should not be confused with the novel... The story is about a big fluffy dragon that wants to dantily sit around and have tea parties. When a young boy meets the dragon, he has a blood lust to see the dragon and a local knight tumble around. The dragon will have none of that because we likes to frolic in the fields and play with his little friends, the birdies. The boy then meets the knight, Sir Giles, who is an older British gentleman. Sir Giles is cast much in the tradition of straight arrow British actors as the late Sir John Gielgud or Sir Ian McKellen.
Sir Giles and the Dragon meet, and discover that they like much of the same things; poetry, flowers, tea parties and the young boy. The boy however wants to see them fight, but the knight and the dragon abhor violence so they stage a fake fight and live happily ever after.
You see, there is nothing pedophalic about that, was there?
