The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

A fast-paced, wickedly funny, often dizzying ride through one of Anderson's most ambitious and realized worlds yet. It's a collection of stories within stories filled with outrageous plots and characters all anchored by a charming performance from Ralph Fiennes. Great fun.

  1. dirty This is a pretty glowing review for an "81". Although I love his movies, do you think people are fatigued by his style? I guess I'm just wanting to see some evolution in him as a film maker.

  2. ross I'd definitely say I'm a little fatigued. I had a great time watching this (more so than Moonrise), but I've wanted an evolution for a while now, and that's probably why this doesn't have a higher score. My favourite moments in Grand Budapest were probably the least Wes Anderson-y.
