Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014)

I was a little disappointed in this. Seemed like stock summer blockbuster material, and I was hoping for something that set it apart. Don't get me wrong - it's was alright, but not quite "good" for me.

  2. dirty I just went back and saw what I rated the first - 74 - so for all intents and purposes, it's in the same wheelhouse. Brock rated the first an 85 - so he's a little higher on them both than I was.

  3. dirty Metacritic's "69" score is certainly much more indicative than RT's "91".

  4. ross Gotcha. Sounds like it's more of the same, in a good way. I dug the first, so I'll check it out.
