Synopsis: Commercial airline pilot Whip Whitaker has a problem with drugs and alcohol, though so far he's managed to complete his flights safely. His luck runs out when a disastrous mechanical malfunction sends his plane hurtling toward the ground. Whip pulls off a miraculous crash-landing that results in only six lives lost. Shaken to the core, Whip vows to get sober -- but when the crash investigation exposes his addiction, he finds himself in an even worse situation.

Excellent. Gripping and wholly believable performance from Denzel. Didn't feel like the usual forced fanfare from Zemeckis either, which I appreciated deeply.

Drunk Denzel doesn't dazzle, but dammit it's Denzel. Competent colleagues complete his character.

I didn't mind this movie. Not sure if Denzel is the best or worst actor in Hollywood. Besides a few scenes in the beginning where they intro some random drug addict who eventually moves in with Denzel, Denzel is the focus, and in every scene. Whip Whitager grades a 69, drunk.
