Gone with the Wind (1939)

Monumental enough to be beyond criticism & tidies up much complex history. Dressed up with 1939 Technicolor, pastel-pretty for dresses & blazing red for passions, & a thunderous Steiner score, it has a fair claim to be considered one of the best pictures of Hollywood film-making.
