Man of Steel (2013)

"Superman Returns" sucked, but this one takes the cake. Endless violent scenes combined with flashy action ones do not make a movie. Forgettable movie.

Liked it, didn't love it. So much uproar has been made about the ending with Zod but I actually thought it was set up well to go where it went. I had some issues with other liberties they took with the story. Overall it was decent but I won't waste much effort in defense.

Steel's a senselessly shot superfluous Superman sequel with a story as strained as spaghetti. Spend your Saturday shopping instead.

First off, what's-his-name is no Christopher Reeve. Mostly the movie slogs it since the only actor you connect with is Russell Crowe who plays a hologram. Editing is poor, and actually a little puerile. Now for a compliment - I thought it had a pleasing ending.

Better than last Superman reboot. Still suffering with the problems of writing about someone who's invincible. More sci-fi-ish at the beginning of this one, and while still insufficient made a better attempt than most of the superman films to do backstory. dumb venues for fights.

Rushed, inconsistent, and poorly edited. I hope I live long enough to see good Superman movie, but I won't bet on it.

As expected, lots of action. The drama scenes where well done. Crowe was great as Jor-El. It delivers where is promised. So if you want a fun movie for the summer this one is a good choice.

So very good. Do yourself a favour and stop reading this review and go and see it! Now dammit!
