Not exceptional but Willimon's promise is clear. Watches a bit like half-baked House of Cards.

Crème de la crème cast carry Clooney's caustic communiqué but George generally just jobs it..

A look at the backstabbing and corrupted ideals that form the unfortunate backbone of the political process. Very good but not great.

Left me very coldddd. Not because it's bad movie, but due to the not-so-subtle reminder of just how dirty politics can be. The plot wasn't anything new, but this is an actor's movie and everyone brought their A-game. The Hoffman/Giamatti matchup was worth the price of admisssion.

A great, albeit well timed movie about modern American politics. It's like the total opposite of a coming of age movie, maybe I'll coin a new term a "coming of jade" movie. A bright eyed adult male on his journey to becoming a bitter and jaded man.
