The Tree of Life (2011)

I've never seen a film capture memory and life so accurately. Without giving any more detail than what we recall from our youth, in the flashes of broken memories, we can tell exactly what kind of life and upbringing this family had. Starts at a glacial pace, speeds up to slow.

The Tree of Life (2011)

Confused, over-wrought, epileptic. Malick spent twenty years on this film, and it shows: the film is obese. Not to mention the fact that it stars Brad Pitt (whose part could have been played equally as well by a cardboard cutout of Brad Pitt). Oh, and there are CG dinosaurs. Yep.
