They Live (1988)

Possibly the most clever of John Carpenter's films. This movie challenges our incessant need to buy and our overwhelming desire to obey. I love the premiss and would love to see it remade into a full series. I'd write more but I'm all out of bubblegum.

They Live (1988)

Not sure if John Carpenter has made a movie I didn't enjoy. Here he calls on 'Rowdy" Roddy Piper to pretty much be himself which is good as he's a great presence but not much of an actor. This is a damn good 80's sci-fi action social commentary film.

They Live (1988)

A B-movie with a political conscience. Classic B-movie cheese but its disdain for the rich and powerful appeals to my own. Definitely entertaining.
