Oldboy (2003)

This was the first foreign-language movie I ever saw, and it is the one which made me reconsider my 'no-subtitles' policy. The story is fascinating, the directing is beautiful, and the actoring is amazing.

  3. C-Bow I've found that the longer i've had to digested this movie, the more I like it. I am considering round 2 in the near future.

  4. ross Woah, apparently Oldboy is #2 in the series. I might have to check out "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance", the first one.

  5. wintermayer They're only thematically link though, not by any story elements. I have Oldboy and the third one, Lady Vengeance but not Sympathy.

  7. wintermayer Have yet to watch that one but many of the reviews I've read think it's even better than Oldboy.

  8. sabrina Sympathy for Mr Vengeance is less strong than the other two. I prefer Oldboy to Lady Vengeance but both are definitely worth checking out, & Lady is on Netflix if you have it.
