Synopsis:

Major Bill Cage is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously demoted and dropped into combat. Cage is killed within minutes, managing to take an alpha alien down with him. He awakens back at the beginning of the same day and is forced to fight and die again... and again - as physical contact with the alien has thrown him into a time loop.

Terribly advertised. Surprisingly good. I didn't care for the action sequences, but the Groundhog Day's day premise is great fun and makes up for the weaker points. Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely worth a look.

The Groundhog Day of sci fi action films. You can't really tire of the many ways to kill Tom Cruise in this thing. Nice work from Cruise and Blunt on both the action and the comedy sides of this story.

I wasn't at all interested in seeing another movie where the hero is wearing a weaponized suit and fighting aliens but was pleasantly surprised by this one. This was an entertaining, well paced sci-fi movie.

Indeed, not the worst TC film. Shouldn't have cost much to make, seeing as it's roughly the same scene over and over, hahaha! Expect to watch solely for entertainment. (That said, Blunt gave a surprisingly decent acting performance, different from her usually simplistic roles).

Ha! I knew Cruise had it in him. This is most everything I want in a sci-fi movie, including the always fascinating and bewildering Cruise at his best. Good action that isn't trying to be the centerpiece, and an intriguing story. Well worth the watch.

Sometime I wonder wtf is wrong with certain critics. This movie stands at over 90% on RT... why? This is repetitive drivel that's offers nothing original nor terribly fun. At least it is not the worse Tom Cruise movie.
