The first and the best of the Indiana Jones series, it has everything needed to justify watching it every year: the iconic but intellectual hero, the adventure & the chases, the epic spectacle, Williams’ outstanding score & sheer excitement throughout! Entertainment at its best.

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

I'm going to get this out first: I didn't like this movie. However, it is fantastically executed. The characters are rich and dimensional, the story is told without too many exposition breaks, and the shot compositions are beautiful. It's just not for me.
