The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

Entertaining, but unfulfilling. Wall Street proves to be great material for Scorsese, but unlike his other films of this kind, this one glamorizes its subjects too much. There's no redemption or retribution for Jordan Belfort, just a whole lotta 'ludes and orgies.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

It was fun, but I wasn't really impressed. The seven seconds of Fran Lebowitz notwithstanding, I have to say I didn't see Scorsese in this at all. Grievances of note are the weird soundtrack and the weird fact that Matthew McConaughey gives the best performance in the film.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

It's well put together, entertaining and at times funny and the performances are good, and it'll probably win a bunch of awards, but I found the subject matter disturbing. Do we really need another film that glorifies a-holes on Wall Street who reap people of their savings?

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

It's sharp, visceral, and indulgent, but there's something missing. There's no gravity to it - there's nothing besides what you're seeing in front of your face. What you're seeing is pretty rad - but it's one dimensional.
