Its hard to give a film a high grade when only 70% of it captivated you. After a slow start and a tacked on end, a film that could have left me with a triumphant adrenalin rush, instead left me feeling unnecessarily bored and depressed.

A fascinating look at the history of West Indies cricket and its role as a vessel for political reform, cultural expression and social renaissance. All told by the people who lived it. A must watch for any West Indian, sports fan or civil rights aficionado.

Considering I went in expecting Paris Hilton's sex tape, this film was either disappointing or surprisingly good, depending on your feelings towards Big Bird.

In 2012, this movie seems derivative and cliche-filled. Then you realise this was ground-breaking subject matter in 1991. Singleton does a great job of bringing the Hood to the masses, although you know from the start Cuba Gooding Jr. isn't actually going to shoot anyone.

In the film's final scenes, with the futures of the child protagonists hanging in the balance, I was brought near tears for the first time in a long while. Thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish, and found it the best of the 2010 documentaries on the topic.
