Warm Bodies (2013)
Partially charming yet extremely dry, "Warm Bodies" exhibited much potential; however, its narrative fell short. Despite its many weaknesses, it was a fresh and unique take on the traditional zombie genre with a highly loveable principle character as well as a few sparse laughs.

End of Watch (2012)
Although far from perfect, End of Watch was a unique and entertaining adaptation of the often redundant "buddy cop" genre. The film was crammed with plenty of excellent action sequences as well as genuine and comical dialogue. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña were an ideal duo.

Slackers (2002)
Offered countless laughs by means of juvenile and inane humour while still presenting a moderately charming love narrative. Jason Schwartzman portrayed the ideal deranged and psychotic instigator, in which he was truly the highlight of the film. Segel has aged extremely well.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
Brilliant and utterly unique, Monty Python and the Holy Grail offers ridiculous and intelligent humour, characters and dialogue throughout its entirety. The hilarious opening credits had me instantly captivated and the remainder of the film continued to uphold its witty charm.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Enjoyable yet overall, disappointing. The Dark Knight Rises offered many excellent scenes, particularly the Bane introduction; however, it suffered many inconsistencies and felt rather long. Regardless, it was a satisfying finish to an excellent trilogy. Viva Michael Caine.

God Bless America (2011)
Sharing similarities to Bonnie and Clyde and Léon: The Professional, God Bless America was both violent and comical while providing a unique and strangely touching narrative. Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr were an unusual yet ideal pair and truly made the film enjoyable.

Prometheus (2012)
With the exception of the incredible visuals, Prometheus was extremely disappointing. The characters were dry and the story was filled with many holes throughout. The only redeeming factors were Michael Fassbender's performance and the final few seconds of the film.

The Raid (2011)
From beginning to end, the Raid: Redemption was full of excellent and incredibly well-choreographed action sequences, plenty of gore and even provided a slightly entertaining plot (although a bit thin, which was to be expected). Absolutely blew away my expectations.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was partially enjoyable but felt scattered and rushed, regardless of its long running time. I'm still confused concerning the opening credits.... I much preferred the novel.
